SPF Stainless steel sterile filter housings are specifically designed for process industry applications, particularly in areas where compressed air system components face a significant risk of corrosion. These versatile process filter housings suit a range of applications, achieving the required compressed air quality with the correct filter element.
Our sterile VSF filter elements are available for these housings. They feature a depth filter media composed of borosilicate glass microfibers, effectively removing sub-micron particles as small as 0.01mm, including microorganisms like bacteria. The filter media, reinforced with NOMEX*, is securely sandwiched between two stainless steel mesh cylinders and enclosed within stainless steel end-caps.
The result is a robust filter element that efficiently filtrates and withstands numerous steam sterilization cycles of up to 150°C. To remove oil, install a coalescing filter element with the flow direction set to inside-out. The typical setup positions the filter head at the bottom and the filter bowl at the top.
